Hi, we’re Émilie and Eric. We’re originally from Africa and now live in Montreal, Canada, where we’re raising our two daughters.
Like many families, we focused on building stable careers and doing our best to provide. Émilie works in IT, and Eric in financial services. We were grateful for that stability, and our income was enough to cover our needs. But over time, we began to feel that something was missing.
Our days were full and our schedules were demanding. Although we were providing for our family, we weren’t always as present as we wanted to be. We started reflecting more deeply on the kind of life we were building and the example we wanted to set for our children.
We also carried something deeper within us. Coming from humble beginnings, we’ve always had the desire to build a life with purpose—not only for our own family, but also to give back and contribute to something meaningful, especially through our mission in Africa.
At one point, we began looking for another way. Not something quick or unrealistic, but something that could truly fit into our lives and align with our values.
In July 2020, we discovered a simple online business model built around digital systems, education, and serving people online rather than chasing them. What stood out to us was that it was beginner,friendly and could be built from home at our own pace.
We didn’t rush into it. We started slowly, alongside our jobs, learning as we went. Step by step, we began to understand how online marketing works and how a remote business can be built over time.
Little by little, things began to change. We gained more flexibility in our schedule, more clarity in how we use our time, and more opportunities to be present with our children in everyday moments.
Six years later, we’re still learning and growing, and we’re deeply grateful for the life we’re building,one where we can spend more time raising our daughters, serving in our local church, and helping other families learn new income skills online.
Today, we share what we’ve learned about building an online business from home,not as a shortcut, but as a practical option for parents who are looking for more flexibility, community, and guidance.
